Is a marquee warm enough for cooler weather?

As the temperature drops and we've all got that back to school feeling you may be wondering if a marquee is a suitable venue for cooler weather.

It can be difficult to imagine being warm inside a large tent when it's freezing outside but it can be and is a reality for our clients who's events take place in early spring or late summer when the odd chill can kick in.

So, how exactly will your guests get warm and cosy when the sun has gone down and it's five degrees outside, do laps around the cake table? No, making sure the dance floor doesn't turn into a permanent game of musical statues (because everyone is frozen...get it?!🥶🤦‍♀️) is about who provides the marquee and what equipment they use.

To make sure your guests are comfortable your luxury marquee can be equipped with special solutions to beat the chill. Here's how we do it at Peacock and Bow.

Event heaters to warm your marquee

Our event heaters provide 100% clean and dry heat into your marquee with the diesel-powered engine sitting outside the marquee. Flexible ducts are used to pipe the warm air discreetly into your venue, from a distance of up to five metres away.

If you choose to hire your marquee from Peacock and Bow, our trained and experienced team will set everything up for you. All you have to do is switch on the power just before your event starts and you can get the party started!  With the user friendly thermostat you can adjust the temperature as you need, ensuring you maintain an ambient temperature for your guests.

Flooring

To ensure marquees are warm enough in cooler weather, we can add a flooring system that provides insulation and firms up the ground to stop any slips, falls and sinking stilettos. Peacock and Bow offer a range of flooring options, from event carpet, to coir matting, to wooden boarded flooring.

Drapery

Unlike other types of marquee such as clear span, pole and canvas marquees don't require a lining as they are beautiful enough with nothing on! However, to help insulate the marquee, we can install drapes and reveal curtains.

Fire pits

Fire pits are another option to warm the cockles of guests wanting a cosy catch up under the stars. They create a stunning focal point for your outdoor spill out / chill out area around which people can eat, drink, dance and make memories.

Cloakrooms

We can provide a cloakroom and covered walkway for your luxury bathrooms to prevent you and your guests getting the windswept look on the way to the loo.

All these solutions combined with our marquee's roll down transparent walls keep the heat in and your guests warm and cosy.
